Sheldon Halsted is a vaccine market data expert who also provides technical support on immunization programs to countries, multilateral partners, and researchers. With over nine years of experience in global health and international development, she’s the market data and analytics lead for measles vaccines for the Global Vaccine Market Model (GVMM), generating data-driven insights to inform market dynamics investments in support of more equitable vaccine access. She also leads the Linksbridge team’s work supporting country transitions from 10-dose to 5-dose vials for measles-containing vaccines, a program that expands coverage while decreasing wastage.
Earlier in her career, Sheldon supported adolescent health and HIV prevention programs in Soweto, South Africa. She was also a program associate on PATH’s diagnostics team, conducting G6PD diagnostics market landscapes in India in support of malaria treatment initiatives. Prior to that, she was a research fellow in Ethiopia supporting baseline data collection for a randomized controlled trial on maternal and child health outcomes.
Sheldon earned a bachelor’s in psychology from Georgetown University and an MPH in global health from the University of Washington, from which she also holds a certificate in women’s, adolescent, and child health. She sits on the boards of Strengthening Care Opportunities Through Partnership in Ethiopia (SCOPE) and the Linksbridge Employees Ownership Trust, and she’s certified as a Wilderness First Responder.
