DIRECTOR

(he/his/him)

Erik Osland has spent his professional career developing and deploying optimization, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and other analytical solutions in production-grade environments. At Linksbridge he was responsible for deriving, implementing, and deploying a global-scale optimization solution for Covid-19 vaccine allocation—a project that led to the delivery of 900 million doses, saving an estimated 1 million lives. This work gave him the opportunity to coauthor a peer-reviewed article appearing in the Oxford Review of Economic Policy. He’s also implemented third normal form (3NF) database quality standards for the Global Vaccine Market Model (GVMM), reducing errors by over 50% while increasing throughput by over 40%.

Earlier in his career, he served as an information retrieval expert and natural language generation creator for a best-in-world AI-driven voice-based natural language model at Entree.ai, and he saved customers over $100 million as a supply chain optimization consultant at CH Robinson.

Erik holds a bachelor’s in industrial engineering and a master’s in computer science with an AI focus from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
